Judi Spear’s impressive career includes over two decades in medium and large corporate environments, where she gathered invaluable experience to pave the way for the creation of her successful communication consulting firm. Every year, more than 2,500 people benefit from her workshops and seminars, learning strategic communications, leadership, motivation, personal growth and development, and corporate culture.

Judi’s talent has served both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations as an effective and enthusiastic consultant, coach and facilitator. Working with CEO’s, Executive Directors and their management teams, Judi utilizes her training and certification in many key personality and behavioral inventories to quantitatively and qualitatively measure an organization’s internal environment. She provides mentoring and equips each business with the essential tools and knowledge to strengthen their leadership, teamwork, and results.

In addition to her numerous corporate clients, Judi works with multiple client groups at SUNY-Buffalo, including the Office of the President and the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. She has created a two-semester program, Developing Your Capacity for Personal Mastery for post-graduate students at Buffalo State College. She is also a facilitator for Canisius and Daemen Colleges.

Judi holds a B.A. in Business Administration and English Literature from Brock University in St. Catherines, ON and an M.S. degree in Communication and Organization Development from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. She is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership and is certified as a Management Consultant (CMC) by the Institute of Management Consultants.

James P. Walter
Technical Coaching & Organizational Change

A stellar thirty-two year career at Bristol-Myers Squibb qualifies Jim as an expert in technical coaching and organizational change. Starting his career as a quality inspector, Jim rose through the ranks of management to General Manager and Regional Vice President of the Puerto Rico Division.  Jim’s management roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb included leadership during company and cultural changes including a branch start-up, rapid growth, scale reduction, and closure.

As coach and consultant for Spear Group, Jim offers expertise in business processes and team development. Working closely with corporate team members at all levels, Jim provides objective insight into the heart and soul of every organization he helps.

Lisa Scolnick
Continuous Improvement and Technical Coaching

With a wealth of corporate experience as well as an MBA from SUNY at Buffalo, Lisa has a passion for positive change which she shares with clients and co-workers alike. She is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with Lean Manufacturing, Workplace Organization, Team Building/Facilitation and many other significant areas of experience.

Lisa has served the corporate world as Continuous Improvement Manager, Manufacturing Consultant, and Inventory Process Manager, making her a key player for The Spear Group. Her team building skills, problem solving abilities, and enthusiastic professionalism have garnered her a reputation as a results oriented, focused and dedicated leader.

Katrina Bremner
Client Relations/Office Manager

Katrina’s education, experience and skill set have combined to make her a wonderful asset to the Spear Group.  Rising to the position of Office Manager in less than two years, Katrina is a natural leader whose elementary teaching experience and empathetic character combine to make her a key relationship builder with customers, clients and staff.

With an knack for multi-tasking, Katrina organizes office operations, creates and implements customer service standards, supervises office staff, handles all Human Resources functions of hiring,  staff retention and training, and encourages accountability by serving as liaison between consultants and support staff.  Katrina is key to the success of the Spear Group thanks to her high standards, her positive energy and her humanity.

Katrina graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Management. She is also a graduate of D’Youville College with certification in Elementary education.

Stephanie Leonard
Project Coordinator

Every Spear Group project has been driven from start to finish by our Project Coordinator, Stephanie Leonard. Her professional approach, creativity, and willingness to accept the many challenges of her diverse role make Stephanie an integral part of everything we do. Stephanie is certified in both Workplace and Schoolplace Big 5, and demonstrates her outstanding oral presentation skills in these and other workshop and coaching sessions she heads.

Stephanie studied speech communication and human resource management at the University of Waterloo. She is a member of the Honeymoon City Toastmasters division of Toastmasters, International.

(Sally) Cecilia Rokosh
Business & Finance Manager

With enthusiasm and positivity, Sally Rokosh enhances her career with the innate ability to form lasting client relationships. Sally’s diverse background in banking, small business and home-based business has given her the broad knowledge base needed to excel as Business and Finance Manager. From bookkeeping to office management, her precise planning, her commitment to lifelong learning, and her love of change and challenge make her an integral part of the Spear Group. 

Sally is a graduate of Niagara College with an advanced diploma in Business Administration and is currently studying to be a “money coach.”
